Over the years, I’ve learned that packing for trips is somewhat of an art form. Not sure about you, but I am not that person that wants to haul a ton of belongings on a trip — I prefer to pack as lightly as possible, with my quality essentials, so that I have less to worry about as a I move throughout my travels.

Spring is officially here, and I am really thrilled to know we are on our way to warmer weather. This time of year, I like to focus on wardrobe pieces that work for the shifting climate. I love light layers that go together seamlessly. Here are a few pieces I am investing in this season.

I’ve learned that every decision I make throughout the day requires brain power—even the seemingly simple calls, such as what to make for breakfast or what type of detergent to buy for my washer. For that reason, I really try to streamline and simplify as much as I possibly can so that I don't have to think much about it.

My wardrobe is no exception to this rule: I keep my closet small and streamlined so that getting ready in the morning takes the least amount of thought as possible. Some call this minimalism, or a capsule collection, or a “fewer, better” mentality (thanks to Cuyana’s brilliant mission statement).

I’m not sure what to label my closet, but I do know that I have certain boundaries and criteria to what makes it’s way in there.

Here, I share carefully selected gift items that, to me, seem very grounding for the mind, body, and spirit. After all, I believe there is nothing richer than the feeling of internal peace, and sometimes, our external environment and cherished items can guide us there.

Pregnant or not, an oversized sweater is always a win (seriously, is there anything cozier?). Large knits are essentially wearable blankets, as far as I’m concerned. Not only are they cozy, but let’s be real, its nice to have the extra room in our tops once the colder season hits and we go into hibernation mode.

A reader recently asked me if I like to incorporate patterns into my minimalist wardrobe. The answer is: YES! I adore a beautiful floral in the warmer months, but for this colder season ahead, I am loooving classic stripes.

A sale can be a time for mindless overconsumption—or it can be a time to invest in beautiful pieces at a lower price.

Now that I’m no longer wearing office attire, I have become a big fan in the cozier lifestyle. Sharing some of my new discoveries along with tried-and-true go-to’s in lounge and athletic wear.

When I find something I know I love, and will wear all the time, then I can justify owning many iterations of that particular thing. For me, that thing is pretty white blouses.
