Gifts for Home Body & Sensory Lover
The holidays are here, and it’s time to get on those Black Friday sales.
Whenever I shop sales, I try to be very mindful about investing in pieces—whether they’re for me or for others—that will bring added joy and utility to life.
I’ve shared this before, but I truly prefer to own fewer higher-quality items, especially those that bring me deeper into the present moment. The things that ignite my sensory experiences and fuel my spirit.
Below, I share carefully selected items and suggestions that, to me, seem very grounding for the mind, body, and spirit. After all, I believe there is nothing richer than the feeling of internal peace, and sometimes, our external environment and cherished items can guide us there. Most of these items I own personally, and others, I have my eye on. :)
Enjoy, loves!
HOME
Ohhh, the comfort of a big, cozy throw blanket. This alpaca throw by Jenni Kayne is a luxurious dream, and I also love this weighted blanket by Bearaby to help you feel “rooted” in your space (it’s fifteen pounds).
I’ve loved puzzles recently — they bring me into the moment and give my mind a sense of accomplishment. I adore Piecework puzzles, and especially love this pretty one that’s exclusive to Goop.
A hardy wood cutting board instantly boosts the cook’s experience. These cost the prettier pennies that we often can’t justify buying for ourselves, so they make great gifts. Loving these French cutting boards, this large farmhouse style, and oh gosh, this maple one is my favorite (stunner, right?).
Now that the days are getting shorter, I’ve loved my accent kitchen lamp even more (and it’s on sale). For a more affordable option, I think this one is adorrrable.
A timeless, classic, beautiful vase adds so much to a space. I’ve been eyeing this one from Fferrone Design.
My favorite candle ever: Joya’s Dream candle. Clean and subtle, and burns forever. Use code I<3Arch for 10% off.
HEALTH
I love booking a massage service, but I also think it would be nice to have the Theragun at home (bonus: looks like they have a great Black Friday sale).
I recently got Bala bangles to add to my low impact workouts—like yoga or walking—and they add just enough muscle engagement and lean definition.
My Breville Compact Juicer is one of my most loved items in my kitchen. Such a reasonable price for a great juicer.
We love our Caraway cookware. It’s a nontoxic nonstick cookware line (a phenomenon), and its beautiful aesthetic makes it such a pleasure to cook with.
I’ve been a big believer in my acupressure mat for years. Instant calm and rejuvenation, I tell ya.
BEAUTY
The Goop Glow line is my favorite skincare line maybe ever. I love that they put together their best sellers in this mini set. Great way to give it a try.
Oribe’s Gold Lust Shampoo and Conditioner is the literal gold standard for washing and conditioning. I’ve used it for years.
My mother-in-law gifted me the Dyson hair dryer last year for Christmas, and Michael and I both love it.
My favorite cleanser ever: Youth to the People’s Superfood Cleanser. All YTTP products are 25% off their website.
Elevating my grooming essentials adds to my everyday experience. I’ve cherished my Mason Pearson comb for years (Mason Pearson products are 25% off here).
Another way to elevate your daily routine: luxurious, clean makeup. The Westman Atelier line is my new beauty obsession. My favorites are the Foundation Stick, the Baby Cheeks, and Loaded Tinted Highlight.
WEARBLES
Cozy feet help me feel grounded, and seriously, there are so many great slippers on the market these days. My Freda Salvador slips exceeded my expectations. I also love Vince’s new Caela slipper, Skin’s cashmere ballet slipper, and Donni’s customizable slipper.
Speaking of foot comfort, these Birkenstocks remind me of my Jenni Kayne shearling mocs that I wear all the time, but at a more reasonable price.
If you can get into wearing a down comforter, this one’s for you. Ultimate coziness.
Stocking stuffer alert: tortoise hair accessories. I have these clips and I just bought these darling barrettes. Also love this headband and this larger claw.
I haven’t pulled the trigger for myself, but I’ve longed for a cashmere lounge set (now 30% off at Reformation). Is there anything more cozy, warm, and comforting?
