Wanting What You Have
Dear Reader, Today, I saw an ad for an outfit. A very simple outfit. White denim, white tee. That’s it. Despite its simplicity, it’s a monochrome look that will always appeal to me. Easy, yet chic. A go-to, so to speak.
10 Things for February
Happy Feb! Yes, I’m a day late—forgive me. I have a sick baby that I’ve been obsessing over, and she’s finally getting in some deep sleep. Sickness (and sleep) are themes of Winter, I’ve accepted. Good news, though: we made it to February, the last “full month” of Winter on the calendar. Worth celebrating, right?
Butters, Creams, and Custards
Dear Reader,
Yesterday, I did a “Ask Me Anything” on my Instagram story, and I’ll be honest: it was the first time I got excited about style in a long time.
My "Million Dollar Morning"
Three wins I aim for daily. Yesterday, our nanny showed me a “million dollar morning” post she saw on TikTok, and said: this is you. I disagreed (and I explain why here), but thought I’d share my own flexible approach to what makes me feel like a million bucks each day.
10 Things for January
Dear Reader, you might laugh if you saw me right now. I’m wearing Goop eye patches, walking on the treadmill in my pajamas, speaking into my Substack app, voice-to-text. This is my way of “writing” to you while I accomplish other priorities.
One Coat, That’s It.
Dear reader, It’s 6AM and I am reflecting on how I want to prioritize content in 2025. In full disclosure, I am working on a long-term project that isn’t a money-maker (at least not initially). Yet, it will consume a lot of my time. There’s that whole exercise of “what do you want to do before you die?”, and it is apparent to me that I ought to put my attention towards a project that means more to me spiritually mentally emotionally, even if it never makes a dime.
December Themes
Spilling my audio diary onto you. Laying in bed end of day, legs up the wall, setting my mind right in a chaotic time. My intention (“goal”) going into 2025 is the same as last year, and one that’ll hold true for every year to come.
Can Anyone Argue with a Black Dress?
Dear Reader, We’re bleeding deeper into December, and you still have nothing to wear for your end-of-year events. Perhaps you’re not sure what to wear. Perhaps you simply don’t want to spend money on a one-time-use item. Perhaps you’re mind is on your check-list, and thinking about what to wear is the furthest thing from your radar. I get all that. Lo and behold, the black dress comes to save us all.
