An Ode to Feminine White Tops
As a self-proclaimed minimalist, I try to not buy or own anything in excess. Why do I need multiple black kitten heels, lengthening mascara tubes, Lululemon Align leggings, etc.? I have a self-imposed limit on how much exists in my home and closet, because excess tends to overwhelm me.
However, I straight up cannot deny my love for feminine white blouses. I could own a plethora of pretty white tops and not feel one ounce anxious about it.
As many of you know, I’m quite inspired by French style (and most French women tend to be the quality over quantity type). Camille Charriere, one of the greatest French fashion influencers, made a statement in this video that resonated with me. She said:
OH THANK GOD, I thought. This justifies my conflict between owning less but desiring more white pretty tops. Honestly, I could wear white tops every day for the rest of my life. They make me feel put-together, yet causal. Feminine, but not girly. White tops work for any occasion: lounging, dinner-dates, work, or weekend. With a skirt, or with boyfriend denim. With sneakers, or with heels. I just adore them.
In other words, I’m done feeling conflicted with owning more than a couple of pretty white tops, because they’re the thing I love wearing most.
Here are some of the white tops I’ve been loving SO much recently.
