Go-To Labels For Wardrobe Basics
When it comes to my wardrobe, I aim to set a foundation with beautiful basics — I’m talking quality tee-shirts, sturdy denim, a well-made knit. I find layering basic pieces creates a sophisticated, timeless style; one you can rely on for most occasions and wear for years and years.
I’ve shared before how I don’t like to put too much thought into what goes on my back — I want to be able to enter my closet, pull a few pieces that naturally go together, and call it a day. My style really is effortless in that sense. The way I see it: there's so much in life we have to think about it, so why don’t we make it easy on ourselves with our wardrobe?
Below are some of my favorite labels to go to for all my basics that I wear over and over again. Enjoy!
— xoxo, Megan
Tees & Tops
The Great — where I go for my white tees.
Jenni Kayne — my favorite tees for a “thicker” hand-feel and I love her boyfriend button ups.
Amour Vert — makes a great Frenchy-inspired striped tee.
Sezane — for my favorite feminine blouses.
Sweaters
Jenni Kayne — all of Jenni’s knits/materials are premium quality that I rewear over and over again,
La Ligne — I grow more in love with La Ligne designs all the time.
Everlane — some of my most reasonably-priced quality knits.
Toteme — a much pricier scale, but so damn chic and are insane quality.
Denim
Agolde — I’d say 70% of my denim is Agolde; I particularly love the 90’s loose cut and Riley straight leg.
Citizens of Humanity — love the Charlotte and Eva fit.
B Sides — my favorite wide-leg denim.
Athletic
Lululemon — align leggings, speed tight leggings, and ebb-to-street tanks forever.
Tory Sport — live for her sport bras and overall chic vibration.
Beyond Yoga — everyone should try the spacedye leggings.
Adidas — I will only run in Ultraboosts.
Undergarments & PJ’s
Chantelle — my favorite favoriteee bras, especially this one.
Hanky Panky — live in their lacy signature thongs.
Eberjey — I get a new pair of Gisele pajamas every winter. The best for traveling too.
