Recipe: Golden Milk

On my IG stories, I have recently shared my obsession for golden milk. Although it’s not a “traditional” holiday beverage, I still find it so warming, comforting, and healing for this time of year. Plus, it’s a healthy alternative to hot cocoa and has a lot of potential health benefits!

I have tried many golden milk powders and teas, and my favorite ever is this blend from Beautea Studio. My girlfriend gifted it to me, and I am definitely buying more!

I thought I’d share my favorite golden milk recipe I’ve been brewing up time and again this season.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup of a milk alternative (I like coconut milk or almond milk)

  • 1 TB golden turmeric tea

  • 1-2 tsp of honey or maple syrup to sweeten

  • 1 tsp of coconut oil for creamier texture

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Simmer the milk in a saucepan

  2. Add the golden turmeric tea and let seep

  3. Whisk the honey/maple syrup and coconut oil into the pan and let it simmer for five minutes

  4. Strain over a fine mesh sleeve or infuser and serve
