Recipe: Banana Bonbons
I eat healthy, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a sweet tooth. I don’t deprive myself—I just create a healthier version.
These are bonbons, made with bananas and dark chocolate.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 bag dairy-free dark chocolate chips
2 TB coconut oil
2-3 bananas, cut into 2-inch pieces
TOPPING OPTIONS:
Pink Himalayan sea salt
Toasted coconut chips
Cacao nibs
DIRECTIONS
Heat the chocolate and coconut oil in a pot over medium-low heat. Once melted and well combined, remove from heat.
Set up a tray lined with parchment paper. With a fork, gently lower each piece of banana into the chocolate. Once it’s covered, hold it over the bowl and allow any excess chocolate to fall off. Then set it on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Finish with a pinch of the topping of your choice.
Once all the bananas are dipped and topped, let them set in the freezer for about an hour before serving.
Enjoy!
