Earthing

In our modern society, we’ve become disconnected from the earth — I mean that literally, as our shoes separate us from the ground our ancestors once slept on and walked on barefoot. Through shoes and our indoor environments, we’ve lost connection to the important electrons stored inside the planet.

Every day, I try to ground my feet in the grass, soil, or lake (known as “earthing” or “grounding”). Why? Because when we earth (or ground) our feet, the earth’s electrons are taken up into the body and help heal inflammation, stress, chronic pain, fatigue, and other ailments. 

Some call this “woo woo” stuff, but this goes beyond my own anecdotal experience. Years of research support this theory — that the earth actually heals our bodies.

Earthing requires little time or energy — it is truly one of the simplest ways to maintain a healthier mind and body.
