Gift Guide | On My List

My holiday gift guides have begun! I thought I’d get the party started by sharing what’s on my list this year. Truthfully, I have an ongoing wishlist throughout the year (when I see something that strikes me, I add the item) — but the holidays are an opportunity to act on one or a couple of these treasures.

No doubt, the price-points on these items are higher, but truly, I’d rather receive one item I love than several items I like. I aim for “fewer, finer” belongings — those special pieces that I can hold onto and cherish throughout my lifetime, and eventually, pass onto my children as little heirlooms.

In the recent years, I’ve loved creating a collection of items I love — unique dishes, sophisticated glassware, beautiful handbags — so really, my wishlist is mostly my “collectors items.”

I hope you enjoy my gift guides as I continue to share more throughout the month to come.

xoxo — Megan

1. Carolina and Daughters Poppy GlassI’ve eyed this glassware for the longest time — it’s so pretty! — but I cannot justify buying it for myself. Definitely a longtime wishlist item that I could see displayed in our cabinet. All her dishes are pieces of art, too!
2. Sabre Bistro Cutlery classic French cutlery for an enhanced dining experience (I love how it appears humble and elegant all at once). We are still using silverware from our wedding registry, so an update will be a treat one day.
3. Bottega Veneta handbagdef a high price point item, and honestly, I’ve been saving commission money every month for this baby. Maybe, just maybe, Michael will help chip in for the remainder (wink-wink).
4. Louis Philippe Adriana Mirror — I love mirrors, and this one makes a statement in any room. I love the round edges and beaded detail.
5. Storia Plates — a more recent find through LoveEcru (I have collected the Rinka collection for a while) and I just think they’re so feminine and pretty.
6. Omorovicza Blue Diamond Super Cream – I tried a sample of this cream and it simply amazed me, although I couldn’t justify the cost (but maybe for a special holiday, I could!).
7. Vintage Clay Pot I found a seller on Etsy that finds and sells vintage clay pots. Each one has character with slight imperfections, which I think draws interest to the eye. I could see one of these placed on our dinette table with a bouquet of wild flowers or eucalyptus.
8. Khaite x Adidas suede sneakers — the chicest sneaks I’ve found! Could see these with oversized knits and blazers for winter/fall, and even into spring!

Other pretty things that caught my eye
