Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Skincare Pluses

A while ago, I did a poll asking my people what content they like to see from me. Many people said: skincare and beauty. Being in the beauty industry for years—and having an obsession with sharing product—so I am more than happy to create more content on this subject.

I’ve shared quite a bit of makeup product, but not as much skincare—which is strange, because I believe skincare always comes before makeup! Healthy skin is the foundation, so you won’t need extra coverup foundation (pun intended).

There are products and services I use on a daily basis, a weekly basis, and a monthly basis that I swear by. All the below are staples that I’ve repurchased time and again.

DAILY

Morning Routine

  • First: Wash face with my favorite cleanser by YTTP.

    • I love this cleanser because its loaded with antioxidants and it’s fully cleansing without drying.

  • Second: Apply my favorite Vitamin C serum by Mad Hippie.

    • Vitamin C is a skincare must—it helps minimize pores, tighten skin, and help with discoloration. Love this clean product at a super reasonable price. Note: always buy Vitamin C in dark packaging.

  • Third: Apply my favorite facial SPF by Aveda.

    • Aveda’s SPF applies beautifully (no cast), is nontoxic and mineral-based, and has the two key ingredients: titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.

Evening Routine:

  • First: Wash face with above said cleanser by YTTP.

  • Second: Tone with my kombucha toner by YTTP.

This daily toner has changed my skin! It blends lactic acid and glycolic acid to smooth skin texture and minimize the appearance of pores. Also love the inclusion of prebiotics to enhance the skin’s natural microbiome.

  • (Optional) Third: In the dryer seasons, I apply a facial oil.

I use either RMS Beauty Oil or Drunk Elephant’s Marula oil under my moisturizer for added nourishment + moisture. I’ll also add this after Vitamin C in the morning if I need the moisture.

  • Fourth: Apply my favorite moisturizer by YTTP.

This moisturizer is clean and just seeps beautifully into the skin. Helps skin cope with dryness, irritation, redness, and fine lines + wrinkles.

  • Fifth: Apply Retinol Eye Cream by Glow Recipe.

I wouldn’t call this a staple yet—still exploring eye creams—but I do like the thickness of this mask, that it’s nontoxic, and includes retinol.

WEEKLY

  • 2-3x/week: GoopGlow Microderm Instant Glow Exfoliation

Spend less on Microderm treatments and try this exfoliator. It polishes away roughness, smooths uneven texture, and gives an instant healthy-looking, glowing complexion.

  • 1x/week: GoopGlow 15% Glycolic Acid Overnight Glow Peel

My holy grail product! I’ve subscribed to these pads because I love them so much (I get a 12-pack every 3 months). Its like a less-harsh weekly chemical peel, which exfoliates overnight and the acid helps refine, retexturize, and brighten skin while you sleep.

MONTHLY

  • Once a month: Tinkle razor action

I could be better at this—won’t lie. However, I love my skin the most when I commit to removing all the little peach fuzzies to create smoother skin. Added plus: it also works as an exfoliant!

  • Once a month: Invest in a single spa service

I won’t lie, I often go for massages over facials, but I notice when I do invest in my facials, my skin is always better. I personally love the Hydrafacial, but if your budget doesn’t allow for it, ask your aesthetician which facial you’d benefit from most. There are so many to choose from.
