A Love For: Armadillo Rugs

I discovered Armadillo rugs a few years back, and immediately, I was drawn in. Armadillo is one of those brands that create beautiful designs that immediately strike you.

It took me a while to invest in one of their rugs, but once I did, I realized I want to become a longtime collector. They’re that good. Now, it’s the first rug company I look to—for design, quality, timelessness. These pieces are functional works of art.

I am thrilled to share a few Armadillo rugs I have added to our home this year, along with a few samples I have my eye on for the foreseeable future. Such special pieces that will transition between rooms and homes for years to come.

BABY GIRL’S NURSERY

When I first discovered Armadillo, I remember specifically being drawn to the Malawi rug—I love its simplicity and and ribbed detailing. Naturally, this is one of the first Armadillo rugs I invested in for our home, and chose to put it in our daughter’s nursery. I wanted a cozy rug that would work for her tummy time, but also, something that was sophisticated and timeless so that it would transition between rooms as time passed.

Truly, the Malawi surpassed my expectations—it is so unbelievably soft!

I went with the Oatmeal colorway, the lightest shade, to play off the natural bamboo shades in her room. It also adds warmth to a white room, and gives a hint of organic elegance that I am such a sucker for. I could also easily see this rug in a living room area.

THE NOOK COLLECTION

More recently, I learned about Armadillo’s Nook collection, which is a series of smaller rugs that instantly elevate intimate spaces. Think entryways, mudrooms, hallways—those spaces that often get overlooked but can make such a large impact.

Given my love for the Malawi, I thought a Malawi bedside style would be gorgeous at the side of our guest bed, or even in our dinette off our from our kitchen.

Also, we had a small door mat in front of our entryway, but recently replaced it with Armadillo’s Bramble rug to fill the entryway and add some texture to the space. I couldn’t love this look more—it adds so much warmth.

Jute material can be rough, but Armadillo’s jute is soft, thick, tightly woven, and absolutely gorgeous. I am currently considering other various rugs for our living space—they’re all just so good! Below are some samples I’m considering.

Samples shown: Atlas, Kalahari, Palermo, Palus, and River.

HAPPENING NOW

Excited to share that Armadillo is offering a very rare event, where there are discounts on Heirloom styles, Classic styles (which includes Malawi), and all the sweet Nook styles.

Thought this would be a good time to take a peak if you ever want to invest in a special quality piece for your home!

Event ends on May 15th.

Enjoy! xx
